My Own Leaptop has been designed as a really basic introduction to computers for toddlers. It is a great toy, that is educational as well, for children aged two and above.

There are six educational and fun play modes to keep children entertained. The three play modes include the alphabet mode, the music mode and the animal mode. These modes teach letters and phonics, and animal identification and sounds. The music mode essentially turns the alphabet pad into a music sampling machine as the Leaptop plays music and the user can add in extra sounds and effects.
The other three functions are what sets the LeapFrog My Own Leaptop apart from other similarly priced toddler laptops. There is an email function where the child can receive special emails from Scout or Violet, depending on which model they have. There is also the option for parents to personalize three emails through the online Leapfrog Learning system and download them to the Leaptop. Kids think that this is very special when they receive their very own emails addressed to them.
Another great function is the music play list. This also involves downloading the content from the online website. When the songs are played on the Leaptop, a little character will dance on the screen.
The blog function is the last fun option. These can be personalized as well. Your child can hear the latest blog entries with their name included at the end of each entry.
Once the program for personalizing the Leaptop has been downloaded, it is very easy to set up and use.
